Founded in 1987, Semis is a Senegalese consulting firm involved in the implementation of services in relation with energy, environment and local development: • water supply • electrification • household energy • small-scale irrigation.

Our assignments are mostly on location and cover a wide range of studies, project implementations and projects management: • field studies and demand analysis, • technical and financial engineering, • organisation and monitoring of water and electricity services in rural areas, • training and support to the agents of local development.

Our capabilities are based on the mobilization of confirmed national and international expertise, the use of powerful software tools and a regional standing through solid external partnerships: • a team of professionals with proven experience in their respective fields • software tools: database systems, geographical information systems, analysis of hydraulic and electrical networks • partnerships with European and African consulting firms: Edene (Burkina Faso), SEHES (Mali), Serohs (Mali), Burgeap (France), Gret (France), Marge(France) Our offices are in Dakar, but SEMIS' registered office is in Pete, a village in the department of Podor. This symbolic gesture, prompted by SEMIS' shareholders shows its vocation to contribute to rural development.
